Winter Crumble

A sweet tasty crumble, stuffed full of your favourite winter fruits.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas 6.
  2. Cut the fruit into thick slices.
  3. Stir in the rum, orange rind, sugar and spices, mixing well.
  4. Place the mixture in a greased ovenproof pie dish.
  5. Rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar, hazelnuts and spices.
  6. Sprinkle evenly over the fruit and bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve with cream or custard.
